Glen has recently joined our Family & Divorce team following a successful career as a Solicitor working for Somerset County Council where he focused on children law. He represented the Local Authority in many different types of public law hearing from contested interim removal hearings in care proceedings, to Deprivation of Liberty applications in the High Court. He also has experience of multi-day complex finding of fact hearings.

Whilst having had conduct of matters and hearings in the Court of Protection, this is an area in which Glen hopes to develop his experience.

Prior to working at Somerset County Council, he spent time working in debt recovery where he developed an ability to empathise with clients, build positive relationships and work collaboratively to reach a positive outcome.

  • Additional information:

    Glen was born and grew up in the North West but moved to the South West to study law at university.  After graduating, Glen remained in the South West and gained employment with Somerset County Council’s legal team, being granted a training contract in 2016 and qualifying in 2018 where he focused on children law.

    In his spare time, Glen enjoys watching football and has a passion for brewing his own beer.
