Robert represented the defendant in this claim under the Fatal Accidents Act 1976 and the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1934. The claimant alleged that there had been a delay in diagnosing and treating sepsis, which led to the deceased’s death. The defendant’s position was to deny breach of duty and assert that death would have occurred at the same time in any event. There were significant financial and services dependency claims.
