Asha has a busy family law practice with a particular focus on child law. Her expertise is strengthened by having worked in the Children’s Services Legal Department of a local authority in the South West prior to coming to the Bar. During this time she was engaged in the advocacy and case management of a variety of care cases as well as private law cases involving the local authority.
In her current practice Asha has been involved in a number of complex private and public child law cases which have entailed issues such as neglect, allegations of physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Asha also has experience of representing vulnerable clients, and clients who have mental health issues and learning needs requiring an intermediary.
